1. Overview
Obazaar is a marketplace platform connecting customers with verified micro and home-based vendors across Oman. This Delivery Policy explains how deliveries are handled, expected timelines, fees, and customer responsibilities upon receipt.
By placing an order on Obazaar, you agree to the terms outlined in this Delivery Policy.
2. Delivery Areas
Obazaar currently supports deliveries:
- Within the Sultanate of Oman
- International deliveries where applicable (depending on vendor and destination)
Delivery availability may vary based on vendor location, product type, and delivery capacity.
3. Delivery Fees (Within Oman)
For deliveries inside Oman, Obazaar applies a fixed delivery fee:
Flat Delivery Fee: 2 OMR per order
This fee is shown clearly at checkout before payment is completed.
4. Delivery Timeframes (Within Oman)
Estimated delivery times are as follows:
- Muscat: Delivery within 24 hours
- Outside Muscat: Delivery within 24–48 hours
Delivery times are estimates and may vary due to operational or external conditions.
5. International Deliveries (Outside Oman)
For deliveries outside the Sultanate of Oman:
- Delivery fees and estimated delivery timelines will be displayed at checkout
International delivery timelines may vary due to:
- Customs processing
- Carrier delays
- Weather conditions
- Regulatory restrictions
- Other unforeseen logistical circumstances
Obazaar reserves the right to adjust delivery timelines or fees when necessary. Significant changes will be communicated where possible.
6. Vendor Fulfillment Responsibility
Vendors are responsible for:
- Preparing orders accurately
- Ensuring items are ready for delivery within expected processing times
- Managing store availability (open only when able to fulfill orders)
Failure to fulfill orders while marked as "open" may result in vendor penalties under Obazaar's strike system.
7. Delivery Confirmation
Upon delivery, customers are required to confirm receipt through:
- Signature
- OTP verification
- Delivery acknowledgment
Customers are encouraged to inspect their order immediately upon delivery.
8. Immediate Return at Delivery
If the customer identifies an issue at the time of delivery, such as:
- Wrong item delivered
- Visible damage
- Missing components
The customer may return the item immediately with the delivery representative.
In such cases:
- The return will be recorded as an immediate delivery return
- A refund will be initiated back to the original payment method after verification
Once an order is confirmed as received in good condition, return requests may be limited to hidden defects not reasonably detectable at delivery.
9. Delivery Delays and Unforeseen Circumstances
While Obazaar aims to meet all delivery timelines, delays may occur due to:
- Weather conditions
- High order volume
- Vendor-related preparation delays
- Road closures or logistical disruptions
- Customs or international carrier issues
Obazaar is not liable for delays caused by circumstances outside reasonable control but will work to support customers in resolving delivery issues.
